The First Morning by the Pool
The first Nineteen 34 shoot took place in Los Angeles on a morning that started early and stayed warm. We found a pool that felt right — the kind that belongs to old California, with pale tiles and light that moves across the water all afternoon.
Everything was kept simple. No excess, no noise. Just the clothes, the water, and the kind of unhurried light that only arrives when nobody is rushing. The shots came together the way the best ones do — without forcing anything.
These are the frames from that day. The ones taken between takes, beside the water, when the sun was still low and the air had not yet turned hot.
