We shot this collection in Deauville in late season, when the boardwalk empties out and the beach huts are shuttered for winter. No crowds, no tourists. Just the tide line, the breakwaters, and grey sky doing most of the work for us. Deauville isn't obvious. It's not the Riviera. It's a Normandy racing town that's been quietly dressing well since the 1860s, all striped bathing huts and horse trainers in old wax jackets. Closer to Paris in temperament than any beach resort has a right to be. The clothes needed somewhere that would push back a little. Wind, damp sand, changing light, rather than a studio backdrop that flatters everything. Knitwear that holds its shape against a headwind. Tailoring loose enough to walk in. Canvas and cotton that already look like they've had a life. Nothing here is styled to look effortless. It's styled to work outdoors, in weather, on a beach that doesn't care what you're wearing.
